(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Qatar has participated in the 6th meeting of senior negotiators at the constituent committee of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) which was held in Tbilisi, Georgia, under the co-chairmanship of Chinese Vice-Finance Minister Shi Yaobin and Georgian Deputy Finance Minister David Lezhava.
A press release issued by the Ministry of Finance said a delegation from the ministry represented the State of Qatar in the meeting to discuss and negotiate the foundation process and the shares of member states in the bank, specially that Qatar is founding member of the bank and was one of the countries that took part in the preliminary foundation process in October last year.
During the meeting Shi Yaobin was nominated for the bank's president post.
