Atlanta GA - Aug 252015 The EP Collection is the debut release from Inspirational singer/songwriter Jonie Stone under the rebrand of Atlanta based record label Nu Royal Records. The collaboration with Grammy Award-Winning producer Herman Little III resulted in a three-song EP which has been described as a brief musical snapshot designed to showcase Jonie's soulful life experiences in an audio portrait.
It begins with the deep rhythmic pattern of "Rough Edges" which symbolizes the challenging times in life when it seems as if there are no smooth areas of rest anywhere. But right in the middle of the EP Jonie begins to have an epiphany and expresses it vocally in "Who I Am." Here in this Inspirational Pop ballad type selection Jonie's upper range is supported by the lush string arrangements with a powerful lyrical content that pulls on the heart strings. The final track on the EP “Through Worship” is a progressive building selection thats indeed ideal for a contemporary Sunday morning service.
All three songs highlight Stone’s strong vocal ability that does not lack confidence at all. In addition Benjamin Forehand adds spice and flavor with his fat guitar tones on the first two tracks.
Altogether Jonie has used this opportunity with this EP to continue to share her gift; the talent and skills that have been honed by performing for many years in churches and conferences throughout Georgia and the Southeast.
