Kuwait oil price down to USD 40.88 pb


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwait oil price went down by USD 2.25 to USD 40.88 per barrel on Monday from USD 43.13 pb on Friday, said Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) on Tuesday.
In global markets, the oil price fell by more than five percent to its lowest level in more than six years because of the decline in Chinese stocks again, by about nine percent, which led to the fall back of global financial markets.
American crude contracts for October's delivery dropped by USD 2.21 to USD 38.24 pb, as well the the Brent crude, which lost USD 2.77 dropping USD 42.69 pb.
