RainDance Technologies becomes latest to pull US float

(MENAFN- ProactiveInvestors) Genetics firm RainDance Technologies has become the latest US firm to pull a stock market début (IPO) due to the current global market turmoil.

Chinese growth worries fears over the Fed's timing of a US rate rise and economic data have all come together to cause a sharp sell-off in equities.

Biotech RainDance filed in March a plan to raise up to US$60mln in the IPO (initial public offering) and said it may pursue a private offering in a stock market statement on Monday.

Other  groups which have recently dropped plans to go public on US exchanges include financial-software firm SunGard and oil and gas firm Expro Oilfield Services.

Meanwhile many of those that floated before the market rout are possibly regretting the decision; more than half of the companies that floated in 2015 are trading below their debut prices according to Renaissance Capital.
