(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) One Lebanese was killed and around 59 others were injured as clashes erupted between demonstrators and Lebanese police in "You Stink" protests over corruption and uncollected rubbish.

Director of Lebanese Red Cross operations, George Katana told Petra reporter in Beirut that ambulances transferred around 59 casualties to hospitals after security forces fired tear gas, rubber bullets at demonstrators, adding that some 334 cases were treated at the protest site.

Organizers of the protests said they have postponed a protest scheduled on Monday, and are expected to hold a press conference today afternoon to explain why it has been postponed.

The protesters later moved to the nearby Martyrs' Square and pledged to stay the night.
