(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Most Qatari tourists and businessmen visiting London prefer to stay in the upmarket Mayfair district in Central London, a media report said.
Mayfair is famous for its elite restaurants, shops and hotels and rents here can range in tens of thousands of dollars a month for luxury apartments. Local Arabic daily Al Watan reported yesterday citing media reports that apartment rents in Mayfair district have been rising 7.5 percent annually.
And in the past three months, there have been 40 percent more enquiries about apartments available on rent than in the same period a year ago. Most Qatari tourists and businessmen prefer to live in these upmarket quarters of London, said Al Watan.
