At least 5 wounded in Cairo explosion


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Five Egyptians at least were injured when a car bomb exploded near an Egyptian state security building and courthouse early Thursday, an initial report by the Middle East news agency said.

According to the agency, security sources who inspected the site of the blast in Shubra al-Khaima, a Cairo suburb, said there was a burned-out vehicle and crater.

"A man suddenly stopped his car in front of the state security building, jumped out of it and fled on a motorbike that followed the car", an interior ministry official said.

The blast was heard in several parts of the Cairo and Giza, the source added.
