UAE- Municipality holds 3 day beach safety c&aign for public


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times)The Abu Dhabi City Municipality (ADCM) urged community members to take part in the three-day Beaches Safety Campaign arranged at the Corniche and Al Bateen Beach.

The event in coordination with General HQ of Abu Dhabi Police Mawalif Emirati Volunteering Society Universal Hospital Massafi and Serco will open daily at 7.30pm from Aug.23.

The campaign is aimed at implementing standards of the environment health and safety divisions at the Abu Dhabi City Municipality which is committed to develop customers-centric municipal services.

The campaign will focus on a number of aspects such as conducting free medical check-ups to the public and beachgoers offering medical guidance and health tips distributing safety booklets at beaches offering training on First Aid about drowning and sunburns and coping with heat stress (dehydration protection from sunlight).

The campaign will also include lessons about safe swimming (swimming with children and dealing with marine organisms) procedure of responding to emergencies (rules of visiting beaches swimming) and security needs of beachgoers.

The campaign echoes the strategy of the Abu Dhabi City Municipality aimed at fostering the values of environment health and safety with a view to securing a safe environment for all visitors of recreational facilities and construction sites in keeping with the Municipality's mission focused on delivering top-class customers-centric municipal services through engaging with the community and partners.

This drive also indicates efforts of the municipality to adopt the highest health standards in providing precautions for the public in beaches.
