(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The Oman U16 team arrived in Doha Qatar on Tuesday to take part in the 12th U16 Gulf Cup Football Championship which will be held from August 20-29.
Oman is clubbed in Group A along with Kuwait and Bahrain. The junior national team's delegation is headed by the Oman Football Association's (OFA) board member Mohammed al Shuhi.
The team held its first training session in the evening under the watchful eyes of coach Yaqoob al Sabahi. The boys meet Kuwait in the opener on Thursday.
