(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), late Tuesday strongly condemned the occupation of the UAE embassy in the Yemeni capital, Sana'a by the Houthi militia yesterday.
The OIC Secretary General, Iyad Madani, in a statement said that the action is a flagrant violation of the international law and diplomatic norms and called on the Houthis to evacuate the building and immediately hand it back to the embassy staff.
The statement stressed the organization stands by the United Arab Emirates and supports the country's request for immediate return of its embassy in Sana.
