Qatari credit to private sector up to USD105.78b in June


(MENAFN) Data showed that Qatar banks' assets and liabilities have surged to USD290.78 billion in June, increasing by USD11.54 billion, or 4.1 percent, compared to the prior month.

Total domestic loans and credit facilities provided by banks to the local private sector increased to USD105.78 billion, in addition to loans and facilities worth USD3.34 billion for the non-banking sector.

Local banks' assets with banks outside Qatar increased USD2.22 billion to reach USD21.56 billion and loan to foreign parties increased USD411.49 million to USD20.54 billion.

In contrast, foreign banks liabilities on banks in Qatar increased to USD38.65 billion, while the indebtedness of local banks to foreign parties in form of bonds and certificates of deposit reached USD10.72 billion.
