Qatar SC, Mesaimeer SC register impressive wins in friendly games


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Qatar Sports Club and Mesaimeer Sports Club registered impressive victories, overcoming their opponents in friendly matches at their respective training camps abroad € as part of preparations for the upcoming Qatar Stars League (QSL).

Qatar SC showed they have the potential to challenge top QSL sides this year as they defeated Spanish side Mollet 2-1 after a fine show yesterday.

New signing Mohsen Yagur was the hero for the winners , by scoring both the goals.

Qatar Sports Club fielded the following players: Mohamed Mubarak, Shahin Ali, Abdullah Alawi, Mohamed Salem, Khaled Saleh, Han Keoki, Mohamed Omar, Ibrahim Jamal, Abdullah Dayani, Khaled Mahmoud and Mohsen Yagur. Meanwhile, Mesaimeer Sports Club, who will be making their QSL debut this season overcame Slovenian side NK Mura with the identical score-line € on sidelines of their training camp in Slovenia.

Mesaimeer were promoted to the lucrative league following their triumph in the Qatar Gas League final.

Mesaimeer took the lead in the second minute through Mohamed Ramadan, while the Slovenians equalised on the 23rd minute towards the end of the first half.

With three minutes left, new Iranian signing Mohamed Nouri gave the side victory with a brilliant goal.

But, Al Sailiya were not that fortunate as they suffered a 3-0 drubbing against German side Jahn Forchheim.

The Peregrines are currently away in Germany where they are holding their preseason training camp.

Head Coach Sami Trabelsi fielded most of his squad in order to identify their current fitness and technical level of performance.

Al Sailiya is scheduled to play their second friendly against German side RB Leipzig.

The QSL side is then scheduled to play a further two friendly games.
