Qatar- President Hadi briefs Emir on Yemen situation


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi at the Emiri Diwan yesterday.
Talks during the meeting dealt with bilateral relations between Qatar and Yemen and the means to promote them in addition to topics of mutual interest.
President Hadi briefed the Emir on the latest developments in Yemen and the international efforts for supporting legitimacy in the country. He thanked the Emir and the State of Qatar and the coalition members for supporting security and stability in Yemen.
The Emir stressed Qatar's and the GCC States' keenness on Yemen's unity, territorial integrity, respect for its sovereignty and legitimacy and supporting the completion of the political process on the basis of the Gulf Initiative, the outcomes of the Yemeni national dialogue and the related UN Security Council's resolutions.
HH the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani attended the meeting.
On the Yemeni side, the meeting was attended by members of the delegation accompanying the president of Yemen.
Earlier on arrival in Doha, President Hadi and the accompanying delegation were received at Hamad International Airport by HE the Minister of Justice Dr Hassan Lahdan Saqr al-Mohannadi, ambassador of Qatar to Yemen Mohamed bin Hamad al-Hajri and Yemeni counsel in Qatar Mohamed Abdulla Ahmed Alzubairi.
