Saudi- Court nixes petition against Haj e packages


(MENAFN- Arab News) JEDDAH: A plea filed by domestic Haj service companies against electronic Haj packages has been rejected by the Administrative Court in Makkah.
The Ministry of Haj announced the introduction of the packages recently.
Ministry Undersecretary Dr. Hussain Nasir Al-Sharif stated that the electronic portal which provides pilgrims with different Haj fares and services was progressing as scheduled.
Al-Sharif insisted that the portal's introduction was meant to facilitate Haj procedures for citizens and residents and restrict fraudulent Haj campaigns and companies.
80501 pilgrims have successfully registered on the portal since its introduction out of the 556988 visitors to the site.
