Arab League condemns occupation of UAE embassy in Yemen


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Arab League Secretary General Dr. Nabil Al-Araby condemned Tuesday the Houthi militias' occupation of the UAE embassy in Yemen, deeming the act as a violation of international diplomacy.
In a statement, Al-Araby said that the Houthis' action was overstepping international laws and norms.
He affirmed that the act was a violation to the Vienna treaty on the security and safety of diplomatic missions.
He called on the Houthis to withdraw from the UAE diplomatic mission's grounds, stressed that the group would be held responsible to any harm that might be inflicted on the members of the embassy's staff.
