Egyptian marketing company files complaint against Google

(MENAFN- Daily News Egypt) The Egyptian Competition Authority ran an investigation based on a complaint filed by an unnamed marketing and advertising company against Google International, according to an official statement from the authority, Monday.

The company's complaint was that Google AdSense, which is an electronic advertising service running under Google Global, has stopped running advertisements for the company without giving prior notice.

The investigation, however, showed that the advertising service for the company was stopped due to the company's violation of the policies set by AdSense. This came about due to the lack of all the necessary information on that matter, and as a result, it was found that Google did not violate the Protection of Competition Law.

Mona El-Garf, Egyptian Competition Authority Chairperson, stated that the aim of the authority's existence is: to confirm violations; impose fines; and help companies overcome the obstacles they face in the market for creating a favourable investment climate for all.
