Oman- Dar al Atta'a distributes supplies to 5,000 students


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Dar al Atta'a has distributed supplies to 5000 needy students from 56 schools across the sultanate.

A press release stated that each kit comprises stationery items a bag and notebooks and has been distributed among students of different grades for the 2015-16 academic year.

Dar al Atta'a had worked with officials deputed by every school before the end of the 2014-15 academic year to prepare lists of needy students. In addition to stationery uniforms were distributed among 571 students from families supported by Dar al Atta'a as well as students from Yiti and the Bausher Educational Village.

In total 3000 students received uniforms. 'Every boy received two dishdashas while every girl received an equal number of uniforms' the release said.

The project cost Dar al Atta'a RO86052.200. 'The campaign was held as part of the Student Care Program one of our key initiatives to support needy families by providing their children with basic supplies for school' Maryam al Zadjali chairperson Dar al Atta'a was quoted in the release as saying.

'We would like to thank the staff and volunteers of Dar al Atta'a as well as corporate supporters such as Khimji Ramdas and Al Ahlia Insurance who have helped us in sorting the stationery items. We wish all of our students the best of luck in the new academic year.'
