UAE- Indian Prime Minister visits Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

ABU DHABI 16th August 2015 (WAM) - Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has described the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi as an architectural treasure and a beacon of tolerance and peaceful co-existence.

Modi made the remarks while visiting the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi today where he was received by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan Minister of Culture Youth and Community Development. He was during his tour accompanied by Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and head of the honorary mission accompanying the visiting Indian Prime Minister.

the Indian Prime Minister said he was pleased to visit the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque which had become one of the world's key Islamic landmarks. He praised the mosque's role in promoting cultural dialogue among the nations.

He also visited the tomb of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre is affiliated with the Ministry of Presidential Affairs and enjoys the continuous support and care of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.
