Egyptian President approves new counter terrorism law
CAIRO 17th August 2015 (WAM) -- Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi on Sunday endorsed new rigorous anti-terrorism laws which will introduce stringent punishments for those with links to terrorism.
The Middle East News Agency MENA said that some of the legislation includes imposing the death penalty for anyone found guilty of setting-up or running a terrorist group long imprisonment of anyone found guilty of joining or participating in a terrorist group and will see those who receive military security or technical training from a terrorist group put behind bars for no less than 10 years.
Also according to the new law anyone who creates a website which promotes ideas which incite 'terrorist acts' will face seven years in prison.
