(MENAFN- Arab Times) His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah commended the role of the security personnel in uncovering the terror plot during an extraordinary meeting of the Cabinet held Sunday at Seif Palace. His Highness the Deputy Amir, who headed the meeting, also extolled highly Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah who managed to uncover the terror plot, said Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Al-Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al- Sabah after the meeting.
The two ministers stressed that they were able to face such terror acts that sought to undermine security and stability of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Mohammad Al- Abdullah added. His Highness the Deputy Amir underlined the need to complete required measures and precautions to maintain the country's security, stressing at the same time that security personnel keep a watchful eye on the security and safety of the country and its citizens, the minister noted. Also during the meeting, His Highness the Deputy Amir lauded the spirit of national unity shown by the Kuwaiti society who affirmed cohesion in the face of dangers and challenges seeking to undermine the country's security and stability, Sheikh Mohammad Al-Abdullah made clear.
Meanwhile, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al- Hamad Al-Sabah expressed his gratitude to His Highness the Deputy Amir for responding to hold the meeting, affirming keenness of the ministers on doing their best to maintain the country's security, stability and sovereignty, he noted. His Highness the Prime Minister noted that the ministers realize the developments and circumstances facing the region and their grave impacts on the country's security, Sheikh Mohammad Al-Abdullah said. In this regard, the Cabinet listened to a detailed presentation by Sheikh Mohmmad Al-Khaled on efforts exerted by security men in uncovering this terror cell which is currently being investigated by the Public Prosecution, the minister pointed out.
The Cabinet expressed its condemnation of this terror plot which serves the objectives of the foes of this country, affirming at the same time that the State of Kuwait is also affected by security incidents in the region, he said. The Cabinet vowed to take required measures and precautions in the face of such incidents, underlining the need of boosting national unity so as to maintain the country's stability and security. The Cabinet affirmed that security men will deal harshly with anybody who seeks to tamper with the country's security and stability, urging all citizens to cooperate in order to prevent perpetrators from carrying out their plots inside the country, the minister concluded.
