Indian premier LuLu chief discuss investment
(MENAFN- Arab News) RIYADH: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi Sunday met top business leaders including M.A. Yusuffali managing director of EMKE LuLu Group in Abu Dhabi with an aim of bringing investment and technologies to India particularly in infrastructure sector. Modi who is on a two-day visit to the UAE was also briefed about the various projects in which the Indian businessmen are investing in India.
The businessmen led by Abu Dhabi Chamber Director Board Member Yusuffali updated Modi about the business environment in the UAE and the excellent support extended by the GCC rulers and authorities toward the Indian community. "We discussed candidly all aspects of business relations with India" said Yusuffali via phone from Abu Dhabi.
He said: "The Indian prime minister was also briefed about the challenges faced by NRIs to invest in India." Modi on his part urged the NRIs to renew their efforts to "bring in more investments into their motherland especially in the infrastructure and related fields." He also highlighted the role and the mandate of the "Make In India" initiative for the future generation of Indians.
Yusuffali who has been recognized with Padma Shri India's civilian award and Pravasi Bharatiya Award the highest honor given to a non-resident Indian also had a private audience with the prime minister separately.
