3 Soldiers Killed, 6 Injured in Eastern Turkey Blast


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Three Turkish soldiers were killed in a landmine blast in Bingol, eastern Turkey on Saturday.
According to Turkey's new agency (Anadolu), Turkish General Staff confirmed that six other soldiers were injured in an explosion in the Karliova district.
The military has blamed the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) for the deaths.
"Three soldiers have martyred due to a remote-controlled handmade explosive that also injured six soldiers while Gendarmerie special ops vehicles were passing Karliova district to intervene in a road block made by members of the separatist terrorist organization on August 15, 2015 at 3 p.m. (1200 GMT)", the Turkish General Staff stated.
It is reported that the wounded soldiers were taken to Bingol Public Hospital. The operation goes on with choppers and reinforcements
