India says 3 killed, 15 injured by Pakistani gunfire in Kashmir

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Indian authorities announced today that Pakistan army has violated the cease-fire agreed by the two countries in many border areas in Kashmir, killing at least three civilians and injuring 15 others.
Indian news agency PTI reported quoting Indian defense sources that Pakistani forces launched attacks in four civilian areas in Poonch district in disputed Jammu and Kashmir. A high level police official told the agency that the fatalities occurred when a shell fired during a mortar bomb attack hit a car in which three people were traveling in Basoni area in Poonch district. There have been 32 cease-fire violations of the 2003 cease-fire agreement in the last seven days from the Pakistani side, says India. New Delhi accuses Islamabad of supporting and funding the armed groups in Kashmir, claims which Islamabad denies and insists Kashmir people are defending their freedom.
