Libya calls for extraordinary meeting Tues. on combating ISIL crimes


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Libya called for holding an extraordinary meeting at the level of permanent delegates to the Arab League next Tuesday to take decisions aiming at confronting the heinous crimes committed by the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in Sirte city and others.
The Arab League's Secretariat received Saturday a request from Libya for holding an extraordinary meeting at the level of permanent delegates to take measures for combating the ISIL crimes, said Arab League's Deputy Secretary General Ambassador Ahmad bin Helli.
The Arab League is conducting required consultations with Jordan, president of the current session of the league, and a number of countries to set a time for the meeting, he added.
