Jordan- US ambassador visits KHCC


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) US Ambassador to Jordan Alice Wells accompanied by US Agency for International Development's (USAID) Mission Director for Jordan Jim Barnhart, on Saturday visited the King Hussein Cancer Centre (KHCC) and looked into the services KHCC presents to Jordanian and Arab cancer patients and the center's role in the fight against cancer.

HRH Princess Dina Mired, Director General of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) commended the role of the US Embassy and USAID in supporting KHCC to continue extend its services to patients, stressing keenness on continuing cooperation in this regard.

Director General of KHCC Asem Mansour presented a briefing on the Center's new expansion project, which will double the existing Center's capacity.

In 2009, KHCF renamed its medical library after USAID in honor of U.S. Government support.
