Jordan- One killed as car plunges into ravine


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency)A man in his twenties died in a single-car accident while travelling on a road at the edge of a ravine in Tafileh Governorate, 180km southwest of the capital, the Civil Defense Department (CDD) said Saturday.

The car veered, overturned and tumbled down the ravine slamming a tree that stopped it from flipping further, CDD said.

The CDD medics rushed the injured to the Prince Zaid Bin Al-Hussein Hospital, where he was pronounced dead after being admitted to an intensive care unit.

The cause of death was a basilar skull fracture and severe abdominal laceration, according to doctors.
