(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Five citizens were killed in a collision between a truck and a car in Adam in Dakhliyah in the early hours of Thursday. They were travelling in a car which collided with a truck near a deviation on the Adam road.
According to sources they were travelling from Salalah to Saham. Two other cars were also involved in the accident.
Last fortnight five Emiratis were killed in a road accident in Adam. The incident happened when a car in which they were travelling lost control and collided with a truck killing all five on the spot. They were headed to the Salalah festival.
Meanwhile two Saudi nationals were killed when the car in which they were travelling lost control in Thumrait last month. They were also going to Salalah.
The ROP has said that it has made elaborate arrangements to curb road accidents and other untoward happenings during the Salalah festival. It has also urged motorists to be cautious and not overspeed on the highway.
