Jordanian transport minister receives UAE envoy

AMMAN 13th August 2015 (WAM)Dr. Lina Shabib Jordan's Minister of Transport has received Bilal Al Bodour the UAE Ambassador to Jordan in her office.

During the meeting they discussed mechanisms to further develop relations in the sector of transport and labour and to overcome difficulties faced by the two countries in this vital sector as well as the need to exchange expertise.

The Jordanian minister expressed her satisfaction at the level of relations in the transport sector citing continuous co-ordination on procedures taken at all the borders. She proposed the holding of a forum to discuss ways to develop land sea and air transport.

Ambassador Al Bodour also expressed his satisfaction about the co-operation between the two sides in the transport sector.

The air traffic between the two countries saw a rapid growth. The number of flights by the Jordan Aviation Companies and the UAE's Etihad Airways Emirates Airline flydubai and Air Arabia exceed 100 per week.
