Kuwait- Mohammad bin Zayed meets Pres. Hadi on Yemen situation


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, reaffirmed support to the legitimate authority of Yemeni President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi who is on a visit to the UAE.
During their meeting here Wednesday night, the two sides discussed the situation in Yemen, and the bilateral ties and cooperation between the two sisterly countries, Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.
"What the UAE is doing under the umbrella of the Saudi-led Arab Coalition to support Yemen and its people stems from deep conviction of the vital importance of the Arab solidarity and cooperation to protect the Arab region from external threats or interventions," Sheikh Mohammad told his guest.
He expressed hope peace would prevail again in Yemen and the Yemeni people would enjoy security and stability so as to pursue the path towards building and development.
Sheikh Mohammad highly valued the leadership of Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia in leading the Arab Coalition to support the legitimate government in Yemen and the glorious position the Arab world against foreign challenges and ambitions.
"The UAE, under the leadership of President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, will continue advancing and supporting Arab causes and rights, and we will never hesitate to contribute to efforts meant to safeguard the Gulf and Arab national security," he pledged.
On his part, President Hadi expressed profound gratitude to the UAE for its pivotal role in the Arab Coalition to restore hope in Yemen.
He paid tribute to President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the UAE's unflinching support for Yemen.
