Syrian regime bombs Idlib, leaves 30 Syrians dead, injured


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) At least seven people were killed and 23 others injured when Syrian regime warplanes bombarded a marketplace in the northwestern city of Idlib on Tuesday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) has stated.
The SOHR, which monitors the conflict, expected that the death toll would rise as many people are seriously wounded.
It added that the regime jetfighters and helicopters continue pounding of Idlib countryside villages where fierce clashes between the government and the loyal militias on one hand and several opposition groups on the other hand.
The London-based watchdog noted that the number of barrel bombs thrown by the regime aircraft on Daraya city in Damascus since last mid night rose to over 20.
The bombardment came amid continued clashes between regime forces against rebels in the city.
Clashes also continue in Zabdani amid targeting the city with barrel bombs. Moreover, the regime forces shelled areas of Arbin and Duma, reports of losses in Arbin, amid accusing the regime in using gasses during the bombardment in Arbin, the SOHR said.
