Iraqi PM bans travel on curruption accused


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Iraq's Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi has ordered to ban travel on the accused of financial and administrative corruption and bring them all to justice.
The Iraqi Premier directed the Iraqi Integrity Commission to prevent the accused of stealing public money and overtaking the state and people properties from traveling and bring them to justice, Al-Abadi's office said in a statement Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the Iraqi parliament announced that Speaker Salim Al-Jabouri has set, during today's session, August 25th as the date to interrogate Minister of Electricity Qasim Al-Fahadawi on electricity crisis in the country.
On August 9, Al-Abadi announced administrative reforms with immediate effect, including ones to abolish the posts of vice president, vice and deputy premier, and set up a higher commission on investigations into the graft charges.
Iraqi citizens have recently staged wide-scale demonstrations protesting corruption and ineffectiveness in the administration.
