(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has lauded the role played by Lebanese Prime Minister Tammam Salam in the fight against extremism and terrorism, which has led to calm and stability in Lebanon.
Speaking on Tuesday following a meeting with Premier Tammam Salam at the Grand Serail, Zarif described Lebanon as a role model of peaceful coexistence.
"Everyone should recognize this country as a model of coexistence and resistance," Zarif said, stressing that Iran is carrying out its role in all these spheres.
Zarif also said that Iran stands beside the Lebanese people and backs their demands.
