Philippine exports drop to USD5.3b in June

(MENAFN) Philippine exports continued to decline for three months now, with merchandise exports dropping to USD5.3 in billion in June despite of the improvement of electronic sector.

This overall plunge represented a 3.3 percent decline in June, followed by a 24.9 percent drop in exports of argo-based products, and a 26.2 percent decrease in mineral products exports.

The crisis continued as the mineral products exports also registered a sharp decline in country's main markets in the same month, mainly China and Thailand.

Things looked different for the electronic branch, as shipments of its products elevated by 9.5 percent through the month, as stated by report.
