Worker on trial for groping student 16 at her house

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times)A worker who allegedly molested a 16-year-old girl at her parents' house has faced a molestation charge in the court of first instance.

According to prosecution records the 33-year-old Indian worker groped the girl taking advantage of the fact that her parents were not in the room.

The incident allegedly happened on June 21.

The girl an Indian student said she was waiting for lunch when the worker approached her and groped her twice. She was shocked and scared and so she walked away from him.

The girl's mother 49 said the worker was among others from a pesticide company who came to her house around 2.30pm.

"They entered the kitchen to do their job. And I was moving between the bedroom and the kitchen. I asked my daughter to wait at the table while I served lunch" she told the prosecutor.

The housewife added that she was surprised by her daughter pointing towards the defendant and saying that he groped her.

The mother said she did not react until she got all details.

She then paid the workers saw them out and waited for her husband to get home. They then called the police.

The girl identified the accused three times at Al Rafaa police station among other suspects and the worker admitted in the investigation to haveing groped and touched the teenager. A verdict is expected on September 14.
