(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) A group of Kuwaiti volunteers distributed on Monday 400 school bags to the sons and daughters of Syrian refugees in Jordan as part of a series of convoys carried out by 'Al-Rahma International' of the Social Reform Society in Kuwait.
This came during a ceremony hosted by the Office of the Social Reform Society in Jordan under the title loyalty to the martyrs of Kuwait of August 2, 1990 under the auspices of the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Jordan Dr. Hamad Al-Duaij and the presence of students, teachers and officials.
Head of the team and Chairman of Al-Jahra Zakat Committee Abdullah Al-Ajmi told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the school bags that include various school supplies were distributed to students in different regions.
He added that the distribution of school bags, stationery and various tools came to get the students prepared for the new academic year as well as the desire of the team to help the students and prepare them ro excel in their schools.
He said that linking the name of Kuwait's martyrs with humanitarian work being done by the team came in honor of the martyrs and for their sacrifices for their country.
