Iraq- Parliament to discuss PM's reform measures on Tuesday


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Iraqi parliament announced on Monday it would meet on Tuesday to vote on the reform measures proposed by the Premier Haidar Al-Abadi yesterday.
A parliament statement said that parliament Speaker Salim Al-Jabouri met today heads of various blocs and parliamentary committees to discuss the refom measures received from the government.
The Speaker called today for Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi to sack ministers found to be negligent or corrupt as part of the wide-ranging reform drive.
Al-Abadi on Sunday proposed a series of measures aimed at curbing corruption, streamlining the government and improving services after weeks of protests.
Al-Jabouri called on MPs to approve Abadi's measures and said even more reforms were required.
