Germany sees quality rather than speed as basis of Greek debt deal

(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) German Chancellor Angela Merkel believes that Greece's creditors should reach a comprehensive reforms-for-aid deal with Athens rather than reaching a hasty agreement, dpa reported.

Her spokesman Steffen Seibert says 'comprehensiveness rather [than]
speed' should form the basis of the negotiations because of the
number of reforms that have to be considered and the length of the
proposed rescue plan, which is expected to run for three years.

Eurozone finance ministers are 'likely' to meet on Friday to discuss
a possible debt deal, a source said. The meeting is not yet
confirmed, but would 'probably' take place in Brussels, he added.
