Kuwait- Colon Cancer Cases Increase In Last 3 Decades
(MENAFN- Arab Times) During the last 33 years, colon cancer cases have increased fivefolds among men and fourfolds among women, head of digestive and liver diseases division at the Sabah health zone Dr Wafa Al- Hashash announced on Sunday.
Al-Hashash told the press that the American Association for Cancer Research affirmed that 50 percent of annual deaths are attributed to cancer diseases. She added that cancer diseases can be avoided by making long-term healthy choices such as eating healthy, engaging in physical activity, and going under early detection of any cancer disease.
The second colon awareness campaign will be launched in December under the slogan of "Yes to Life" No to cancer," Dr Al-Hashash pointed out.
