Germany's exports, industrial output down in June

(MENAFN) Official data showed that German exports and industrial production both dropped in June, however, failing to hinder outlook of German economic growth in coming months.

In seasonal and working-day adjusted terms, German exports declined by 1 percent in June on May. Imports also fell by 0.5 percent month-on-month, data from Destatis showed.

Net foreign trade, the balance between exports and imports, thus narrowed to about USD24.05 billion, but remained near its record high level, Destatis released data showed.

A separate report from Destatis showed industrial output also fell monthly by 1.4 percent in adjusted terms in June, mainly due to a setback in construction production which slumped by 4.5 percent.
