Jordan to open new markets in Africa

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Jordan is working on opening new markets for the Kingdom's exports to Africa, after the decline of exports to traditional markets, Jordan Businessmen's Association Chairman Hamdi Tabbaa said.

During a meeting on Saturday with Secretary General of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa(COMESA) Sindiso Ngwenya, Tabbaa outlined investment privileges that Jordan enjoys, noting the great opportunities available for Jordanian industries in African markets.

Ngwenya, for his part, voiced the 21-country COMESA's desire to enhance trade and investment ties with Jordan.

Total Jordanian exports to COMESA in 2014 reached JD218 million, while imports reached JD472 million.
