(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The rallies' steering committee at Sheikh Basil Al-Sabah Motor Racing Club on Sunday declared the rallies' schedule for the upcoming season, 2015-2016.
Meshari Al-Sabti, in charge of the rallies at the club, told KUNA the first edition of the desert rally, "Baha Al-Kuwait," will be launched on October 29th and will proceed for three days.
Organizing this rally, after 26-year cessation, constitutes an accomplishment for the club and a major step for improving the sport, he said, affirming that the competent authorities are striving to contest at regional and international levels.
He forecast high participation from GCC teams, noting that Kuwait strives to be on par with other regional races, "Hael Rally," "Jeddah Rally," "Serene Rally," and the "Desert Challenge Rally" of the UAE.
The four-round races will begin on December and end in March
