Gang violence rises in Los Angeles


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Members of a coalition of local activists, church groups and community leaders try to promote peace amongst rival street gangs in an area known as 'death alley', where the highest rates of homicide occur, in Los Angeles, California, late on Friday. Gang violence has increased in Los Angeles this year with reports of two gangs allegedly entering into a competition to see which one can kill 100 people in the next 100 days.
