(MENAFN- Khaleej Times)Six lads from Abu Dhabi have made the cut to the UAE Under-19 squad for the ACC Premier League to be held in Malaysia.
Prolific opener Mohammed Riyan medium pace all-rounder Yodhin Punja wicketkeeper Sachin Jha all-rounder Moiz Qazi leg spinner Naseeruddin Khan and medium pacer Abdulla Asif have made it to the final 14 for the tournament to be held from August 26 to September 4 in Kuala Lumpur. Yodhin Punja was among the 30-man provisional squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup held in Australia and New Zealand. The Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) selectors had picked 25 probables and they underwent a two-month training camp at the ICC Academy in Dubai under UAE coach Aaqib Javed and assistant coach Mohammed Hyder. The ECB selectors picked the final 14 on Tuesday. The squad also has four reserves. Abu Dhabi batsman the 13-year-old Jonathan Figy missed the cut.
