MicroHealth Announces Future of Health Competition Winners

PRESS RELEASE — FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Vienna VA – July 6 2015 MicroHealth LLC has announced the winners of their Future of Health Campaign. Visheshta Chopra 1st place Bryneé Dade 2nd place and Fatima Bhatti 3rd place demonstrated superior writing skills with a dramatic vision for the future.

The winners received (in order) an iPad mini Beats Solo2 headphones and a Kindle Fire. Additionally they will be working with us over the summer with their newly gained paid internship. These “grand prizes” were offered to the top submissions and will also be posted to MicroHealth’s blog which now garners over 80000 hits monthly.

The contest was designed as a looking glass into this generation’s outlook on the future of health and healthcare. “I wanted to give students the opportunity to share their vision” Frank Tucker CEO said. “They are our future.”

Our first place winner Visheshta "Vishi" Chopra recently obtained her Masters of Science in Health Informatics from George Mason University (GMU). She graduated from Virginia Tech in 2013 earning her Bachelor’s in Biochemistry with a minor in Chemistry. Vishi is extremely passionate about healthcare as well as the influence technology will have on it which has led to her to work on exciting projects ranging from clinical research to software development. She hopes to pursue a career in Healthcare consulting in the near future.

"Right now our Healthcare system is going through some very exciting changes in terms of infrastructure and policy" Chopra said. "This competition allowed me to put my thoughts into words and present a snippet of our generation's views on the impact technology can have on this system in the future."

Our second place winner Brynee Dade is currently a senior at GMU majoring in Psychology with a minor in Criminology. She is also an Honors student in the Psychology Department's Honor Program and the Vice President in Psi Chi an International Psychology Honors Society. She would like to become a psychology professor an I/O Consultant with Deloitte and/or develop a reentry program for newly released criminals.

"Always try your best" Dade said. "You never know whose looking."

Finally our third place winner Fatima Bhatti is a senior at GMU studying Health Administration with a concentration in Health Systems Management. After completing her bachelor’s degree in August she plans on completing her MBA. In the long-term she wants to work with an organization that provides basic health needs to the indigent. 

"Education is not about a mere pile of degrees and learning rhetoric" Bhatti said. "It’s about awareness of ethical moral and social values which help an individual to distinguish between right and wrong."
