UAE- House gutted after gas cylinder blasts in Fujairah
(MENAFN- Khaleej Times)A fire broke out in a house in the Murbiah locality in Fujairah on Monday due to the explosion of a gas cylinder. No casualties have however been reported.
Although the house was completely destroyed the occupants - an Emirati family - escaped unhurt due to the timely intervention of the firefighters of the Fujairah Civil Defence who quickly managed to put out the blaze. Sources at the civil defence department said the operations room was alerted about the blaze at 7pm. "A number of fire engines rushed to the site but the fire had already gutted the eight-room house. The firefighters brought the fire under control before it could spread to the neighbouring houses" sources said. Police are investigating the incident to confirm the exact cause of the fire.
