Four entrepreneurs from Oman bag business awards


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) At the GCC business conclave held recently at the Atlantis Hotel Dubai four expatriate entrepreneurs from Oman bagged the prestigious Gulf Business Excellence award 2015. 

The event was organised by DNA Creative Global in association with Media One TV Arabian Radio Network HiT 96.7 and South Indian Bank.

For the first time this year Omani-based entrepreneurs have been recognised with prestigious awards at this event. Four out of the fifteen winners were the Omani based entrepreneurs: Thomas Alexander from Al Adarak Group VT Vinodan of Mars International Group Sharafudeen of Muscat Bakery Markets. Dr Nithin RS of Axis group of companies was specifically recognized as the young emerging entrepreneur. 

The Home Minister of Kerala Ramesh Chennithala who was the Chief Guest of the event gave away the awards and the citations were given by VP of South Indian Bank George Kavalam and Indian movie star Roma Asrani.

Utilising the entrepreneurial excellence and global experience of the non resident Indian (NRI) business community various projects in the areas of tourism information technology and industry were discussed. These discussions will be forwarded to the central and the state government of India for the formation of trade relations between India and the GCC.

The guests of honour were Lt Col Ali bin Dabhooi al Flassi Jasim Hassan Juma Mohamed al Maazmi Farooq al Irani and various other dignitaries from the Arab Council.
