Jordan rejects plans to reduce UNRWA's services


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) A Jordanian parliament's committee for Palestine affairs, on Tuesday, discussed plans by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) to decrease services extended to Palestinian refugees.

During a meeting for the Lower House of Parliament's Committee on Palestine, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Nasser Judeh stressed Jordan's rejection of attempts to reduce the level of services provided by the UNRWA, highlighting Jordan's efforts to support the Palestinian people and serve the refugees.

He also urged donor countries to fulfill their obligations to help the agency extend services to Palestinian refugees, pointing out that "Jordan hosts the largest number of Palestinian refugees".
