(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Qatar Airways (QA) hosted a VIP Dinner at Ramada Hotel Multan to celebrate its expansion in Pakistan, with new flights launched to Multan, Sialkot and Faisalabad on August 2, July 16 and 17, respectively.
The event, attended by over 150 guests from the corporate and travel trade sectors, featured the launch of a community initiative.
QA joined hands with Qatar Charity to support a medical centre, Al Amal, in Khanewal Directorate. The plaque ceremony of the centre and live local entertainment were also held.
Ihab Sorial, Vice-President Indian Subcontinent, QA, said: "Multan is the latest gateway to join QA's expanding destinations in Pakistan where we are pleased to have launched three new destinations in a few weeks.
"From operating 45 flights a week to Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Islamabad we have now spread our presence to seven key gateways offering 55 flights a week.
"We are proud to say QA's commitment to Pakistan will continue as we identify new opportunities to expand our presence to more cities. Key connecting points for passengers to and from Multan on QA include London, Paris, Milan, Athens, Copenhagen, Berlin, Dubai, Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah.
The Doha-Multan schedules: Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays: Departs Doha QR618 at 01:10, arrive in Multan at 06:25 and departs Multan QR619 at 09:35 and arrives in Doha at 11:05.
