Meanwhile, the International Arab Youth Congress kicked off, on Monday, under the patronage of Queen Noor Al-Hussein, to empower young adult age (12-17) to express their aspirations to decision makers. The congress is organized by both the National Center for Culture and Arts of the King Hussein Foundation and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).

The week-long congress will see the participation of 120 youth from 12 countries (Kuwait, Jordan, UAE, Egypt, Libya, Lebanon, Palestine, Iraq, Morocco, Pakistan, Holland and Serbia). It gathers 4 youth from each Arab and European country in a program that is designed to promote peace, understanding tolerance and solidarity amongst the Arab youth. The congress engages Arab youth of both genders in dialogue, cross-cultural exchange, and cooperative initiatives at an early age, thereby enabling them to more fully appreciate their common bonds.

This year's event centers on the notion of investing in youth as effective individuals in human development where it tackles education, early marriage, early parenthood among teenagers and their civic duties toward their communities. In addition, the Congress holds seminars and group discussions with key speakers and guests of honor on the theme of the Congress.
