Crude oil slide accelerating

Traders once again sold crude oil overnight with both the U.S. and Europe trading crudes eyeing their lowest prices of 2015.

West Texas Intermediate fell 68 cents to US$46.43 a barrel although its still off its March low of below US$43 a barrel.

Brent plunged over 2% to US$51.10 a barrel in early trade a price not seen since the end of January.

Last month July WTI lost 21%.

Added pressure on black gold services firm Baker Hughes said the number of U.S. oil rigs rose by five to 664 oil-services firm Baker Hughes reported.
